Veloce started its journey back in 2014 to provide affordable premium Bicycles for Cycling Enthusiasts whilst maintaining all European ISO standards. Veloce have a wide range of MTB and Hybrid Bicycles with quality specs at a reasonable price point. From their Hybrid range we got to test ride the Veloce Jupiter 2. 29 and here is what we thought.Weight: 16.1kgsUsage: Trail/Fitness

The Veloce Jupiter 2. 29 is an entry to mid-level performance focused Hardtail MTB with a Suntour suspension fork and Tektro Mechanical Disc brakes.

The Veloce Jupiter 2. 29 is a Hardtail Alloy Bicycle in this brand's MTB range. This frame is built from Alloy. The frame comes with a nicely slanting top tube which ensured increased standover height for the rider which makes it safe for the rider on bumpy surfaces. The frame geometry is completely comfort focused giving the rider an open chested riding posture.

Veloce have used Shimano brand derailleurs in this MTB model. The Veloce Jupiter 2. 29 comes equipped with an 8-Speed Shimano Acera at the rear along with a Shimano Tourney 3-Speed at the front. The Shimano drivetrain on this MTB was both quick and smooth in shifting with no lag experienced during the test ride. The 24-Speed Shimano gearing system is controlled by Shimano's Altus trigger shifters.

The Bicycle which we test rode came with a full Red primary colour with Black as the secondary colours. The graphics were bold and racy which made the Bicycle look aggressive. The matte finish paint job on the Veloce was of top quality and definitely made this MTB looked premium.

The stopping power on this Hardtail MTB is taken care of by a pair of Tektro branded Mechanical Disc brakes. These brakes were of good quality and the rotors and disc plates were powerful in stopping amidst traffic and even on flat muddy surfaces.The Alloy MTB handlebar was wide and gave optimum control for the rider when riding through fast paced flat trails and also when maneuvering through sharp turns.

The Veloce Jupiter 2. 29 comes with 29” x 2.25” MTB tires. These tires have bulky treads and a uniform tread pattern which provided great traction on trails and flat muddy surfaces. The wheelset provided a faster rolling resistance as well as a balanced ride on flat trails.The stock saddle from Veloce is ergonomic in design with enough cushioning for a soreness free ride.

This Alloy Hardtail MTB had a comfort focused frame geometry and a wide handlebar. The powerful Tektro Mechanical Disc brakes made it easy to stop on muddy trails and wet urban roads. The 29” MTB tires were heavily treaded and fast rolling as well. The 24-Speed Shimano Tourney/Acera drivetrain was smooth in shifting and definitely performance focused for entry to mid-level riders.
