Things We Don't Like

  • Saddle could have had more cushioning
Acrolt M800 Nox 29 Frame

The Acrolt M800 Nox 29 is a Hardtail Alloy Bicycle in this brand’s MTB range. The frame comes with a nicely slanting top tube which ensured increased standover height for the rider which makes it safe for the rider on bumpy surfaces. The frame geometry is ideal for a balanced riding posture to be stable on trails.

Being a Hardtail the Acrolt M800 Nox comes with a stock front suspension fork with sufficient travel which helped tackle bad roads and bumpy surfaces on flat trails easily. The suspension lock-out feature helps ride faster on flatter surfaces.

Acrolt M800 Nox 29 Design

The Bicycle which I test rode came with a full Grey primary colour with Orange and White the secondary colours. The graphics were bold and racy which made the Bicycle look aggressive. The matte finish paint job on the Acrolt was of top quality and definitely made this MTB looked premium.

Acrolt M800 Nox 29 Gearing

Acrolt has used Shimano branded derailleurs in this MTB model. The Acrolt M800 Nox comes equipped with an 8-Speed Shimano Altus at the rear along with Shimano Tourney 3-Speed at the front. The Shimano entry/mid-level drivetrain on this MTB was both quick and smooth in shifting with no lag experienced during the test ride. The 24-Speed gearing system is controlled by Shimano’s EF500 shifters.

Acrolt M800 Nox 29 Brakes and Steering

The stopping power on this Hardtail MTB is taken care of by a pair of Repute branded Mechanical Disc brakes. These brakes were of good quality and the rotors and disc plates were powerful in stopping amidst traffic and even on flat muddy surfaces.

The 680mm MTB handlebar was wide and gave optimum control for the rider when riding through fast paced flat trails and also when maneuvering through sharp turns.

Acrolt M800 Nox 29 Wheels and Saddle

The Acrolt M800 Nox comes with Kenda 29” x 2.10” MTB tires. These tires have bulky treads and a uniform tread pattern which provided great traction on moderate to rough trails. The wheelset provided a faster rolling resistance as well as balanced ride on flat trails. The stock saddle from Acrolt is ergonomic in design with minimal graphics.

This Alloy Hardtail MTB had a balanced and trail focused riding geometry. The powerful Mechanical Disc brakes made it easy to stop on muddy trails and wet urban roads. The 29” Kenda tires were heavily treaded and fast rolling as well. The 24-Speed Shimano drivetrain was smooth in shifting. Priced at Rs.28,999 (as on 3rd May 2022) the Acrolt M800 Nox 29 is an ideal choice for anyone looking to buy an MTB to venture into trail riding and occasional urban rides.
