The slanting top tube helps the rider get into an aggressive yet comfortable position.
The Suspension fork was responsive during the test ride and absorbed most of the vibrations on the trail.
The SRAM SX Eagle 1x12-Speed Drivetrain was quick and smooth in transmission.
During the test ride, these brakes were not just powerful but also balanced, even when ridden on wet trail surfaces.

BMC Bicycles are known for their lightweight construction, aerodynamic design, and precise handling. Weight: 14.5kgs
Usage: Cross-Country Trails/MTB Racing
The BMC Twostroke AL Four is built using a Hydroformed Alloy frame. This Alloy frame has the Radical Geometry Technology which helps absorb vibrations from the surface when it passes through the frame; this immensely helps in having a much smoother ride on trails. The slanting top tube helps the rider get into an aggressive yet comfortable position. For a Bicycle meant to tackle the roughest of terrains, the frame weight is light which helps in acceleration.
The Suntour XCM-32 Suspension fork was responsive during the test ride and absorbed most of the vibrations on the trail. This was possible because of it’s powerful 100mm travel.
This Hardtail Performance MTB which we test rode came in a bright Red primary colour with a bit of Grey in a few places as the secondary colour. The gloss finish paint job was top notch in quality. The internal cable routing for the derailleur and brake cables made the Bicycle look neat and organized.
SRAM’s SX Eagle MTB derailleur on the BMC Twostroke AL Four is known for the quality of shifting across its rings. This may be SRAM’s best racing groupset option in this price range, but that hasn’t resulted in a lack of attention to detail: each chainring is constructed differently to balance use against weight and longevity. The 1x12-Speed drivetrain has enough range for difficult climbs and for picking up speed as well. The dropping of the front derailleur has truly become a norm in performance and race specific MTBs as it helps in keeping the shifting easier and quick. This gearing setup is complete with SRAM’s SX Eagle 12-Speed trigger shifter which is easy and responsive to use.
The SRAM Level Hydraulic Disc brakes were as powerful brakes as it can get on a performance focused hardtail Mountain Bike. During the test ride, these brakes were not just powerful but also balanced, even when ridden on wet trail surfaces. The brake levers required only 2 or 3 fingers to engage.
The 760mm handlebar was lengthy and perfectly suited for fast trail rides. That being said this handlebar’s length makes it uncomfortable for those tight maneuvers.
The BMC Twostroke rolls on a pair of Maxxis Rekon Race 29” x 2.25” MTB tires. These hard compound heavily treaded tires were tough and can easily handle the wettest and roughest of trails.
The Selle Royal Seta Saddle on this Hardtail MTB is designed to make sure the rider is sore free even when he or she spends long hours on this saddle during XC rides and races.
This MTB is built for Trail rides and Cross-Country Trail races. The 1x12-Speed SRAM SX Eagle drivetrain along with SRAM’s Level Hydraulic Disc brakes make this Bicycle a powerful MTB to ride. The internal cable routing on this Bicycle saves the cables from all the muck from the trails. Priced at Rs.1,35,000(as on 12th July 2023) the BMC Twostroke AL Four (2022) is an ideal Bicycle for anyone one looking to buy an MTB for the roughest of trail rides and XC races.
