Cosmic 700c RF Camo 24sp: ChooseMyBicycle Expert Review

The frame is made of Aluminum Alloy which keeps the weight of the bike low. The frame geometry is for aggressive style of riding. There might be a necessity for handlebar raiser if u need a comfortable position. There is a single bottle holder mount on the bottom tube and specific mounts for a rear carrier rack along with screws. It’s fast paced city bike but might need some getting used to with the handling. The grips were rock solid changing it will reduce stress on hands. As the fork is rigid the bad road impact is felt on the hands when compared to bike with suspension. Its still gives a comfortable ride.

The Camo RF gets a paint scheme as its name to blend with the environment, the colour pattern might not be attractive, but this helps in hiding in plain sight. It might not be a bike that catches people’s attention, it keeps it simple. The bike looks good in person than on photos. It also has 4 colour options, and each one gets a matching accent on the saddle. As for the geometry of the bike, it would mostly suit young adults. The handlebar has a curve in it which must be rotated as per your posture to get a good feel while holding. Also adjust the position of the shifter brake lever combo for better holding and shifting. The internal cable routing gives the bike a clean look. The alloy 700c wheel set is from cosmic, has cosmic written on it with white background which goes well with the paint scheme.

Shimano 3x8 combination gearing setup is very smooth and does not have much lag. The cranks are from Prowheel which has a gearing of 42t, 34t and 24t, which gives a good range for all type of city conditions like uphill, downhill and flat roads. The cassette is 11-28t form Shimano. The ride quality was good and the shifting was instant.

The Cosmic Camo RF comes with mechanical disc brakes with 160mm rotor size and callipers are from YinYang. The brake had good bite and strong stopping power. Make sure to use both brakes together as these brakes are very powerful and brings you to instant stop. There are some adjustments need to get good handling on this bike as its setup for neutral, we might have to adjust the cockpit to our comfort. If you ride as it is there might be some twitchiness in handling. To make it even more comfortable you can add a handlebar raiser for upright posture and more comfortable ride. This bike can also be used for long distance riding after adjusting and setting it up for your body conditions.

The bike gets alloy rims with disc brake hubs all in black and stickered in white. The tyres are 700x32c from KENDA which had good road grip with minimal rolling resistance. The saddle feels sporty and is soft and has give to it to make you comfortable while riding. The colour matching with the frame on the seat gives it a nice look.
