Cosmic is one of the very few Indian brands which provide both value for money and performance oriented Bicycles. The Grid series is their City/Urban model which is aimed at being both functional and affordable. We got the opportunity to test tide the Cosmic Grid RF and here is what we thought.

The Cosmic Grid RF is built on a strong yet lightweight Steel frame. This frame had thin tubes with neatly welded edges. The conventional geometry was comfortable to ride with a slanting top tube. The frame was responsive and definitely helped ride fast and contributed to easy climbing on flyovers and other road inclines. The Rigid fork was bladed in shape and made it light at the front.
The Grid RF which we test rode came in a full Black colour frame with Blue and Yellow as the secondary colours for the text and graphics. The matte finish paint job along with the contrasting Blue and Yellow colours made the Bicycle stand out on the road. The thin tubes, colour coded saddle and brake cables immensely enhanced the overall aesthetics of this Bicycle.
The Cosmic Grid RF comes equipped with a Single-Speed drivetrain. The pedalling was easy on flat and rough surfaces. It is a bit of a struggle to pedal on inclines which will require extra effort. Positives of a Single-Speed drivetrain is that it is easy to maintain and simple to ride.
This Hybrid Bicycle’s stopping power is handled by a pair of standard V-brakes at the front and rear. These brakes were sufficient and balanced on dry and wet roads. Both interval braking and jamming of brakes felt in control when used during the test ride.
The handlebar on this Bicycle was both comfortable and wide enough to give the rider an open chested riding posture.
The Cosmic Grid RF rolls on a pair of 700x35C Brilliant branded slick tires. These tires were fast rolling on urban roads and the tread pattern was enough to get good traction on tar surfaces.
The stock Cosmic Saddle was wide and had a lot of cushioning to make sure the rider is comfortable and soreness free on bumpy rides.
This Hybrid Bicycle is built on a strong Steel frame which is comfortable to ride. The Single-Speed drivetrain was easy and smooth to pedal .The standard V-brakes were powerful and balanced on both dry and wet roads. Priced at Rs.15,000 (as on 17th October 2022) the Cosmic Grid RF is an ideal choice for anyone looking to buy a bicycle for fast commutes and general fitness.
