An Amazing Cage-less sipper water bottle from Fabric which makes your bicycle look uncluttered.
Fabric is a bicycle accessories manufacturer specializing in saddles, lights, bottles, pumps, tools, tapes and grips. Fabric as a brand is known for technical innovation on their products to give the rider a well-designed accessory to enhance their cycling experience. We got the opportunity to test out Fabric’s most famous Cageless 750ml sipper water bottle and here is what we thought.
Features
2 pairs of coloured studs gets slotted on the bottle and are easy to install using an Allen key
One might think, what is there in a water bottle to review in detail. But here we are reviewing an award winning design of a water bottle for bicycles which does not need a cage. Yes this Cageless system won a ‘Design and Innovation Award’ for being the world’s lightest bottle + cage system which is suitable for all bicycles with 2 eyelets in the frame for a cage.
Two polyurethane studs are fitted on to the bicycle’s frame eyelets for a cage. You need to remove the screws on the frame and fit the Fabric’s studs on to them. A standard screw goes inside a rubber stud which helps them get screwed on to the eyelets. These studs require a size 3 Allen key to tighten. Make sure to not over tighten them as the studs aren’t the strongest of materials. These studs once secure gets slotted into the bottle's moulded mounts, keeping it secure over even the most challenging of terrains.
Design and Compatibility
The bottle and cage-less mounting slots are simple and aesthetic
This water bottle which I tested was 750ml and had a squeezable body which helps get water out easily when riding. The cage-less mounting system has a triangular shape to it and is colour coded to the bottle’s lid. The cage-less mounting system is not the easiest at first to slot back when riding, it will take time to get used to knowing where exactly the slots are to put it back without looking down.

This bottle is easy to install but needs a Allen key to screw on the studs to the bicycle’s cage eyelets on the frame. This cage-less technology is not only aesthetic and innovative but also does take some weight off saves you some money. It will take time to get used to slotting the bottle back on the studs on the frame while on the move but once you get the hang of it is very easy. Priced at Rs.1,195 the Fabric Cageless 750 ML sipper is a good looking and useful accessory addition for any cyclist.
