Being a Hardtail MTB the Toretto 27.5D comes with an entry-level suspension fork with a minimal travel. This suspension fork was ideal for tackling rough roads and flat trails.
This Bicycle which I test rode came in a full Black primary colour with Yellow and White graphics. The slanting top tube and thin seat and chain stays make this Bicycle look sleek. Whilst most Indian bicycle brands are going for a matte finish paint job, the gloss finish paint job on the Torreto was of top quality and definitely made the Bicycle look premium.
The Firefox Torreto 27.5D is equipped with a Shimano Tourney TY500 / Microshift FD-M20 3-Speed front derailleur and a Shimano Tourney TY300D / Microshift RD-M21L 7-Spped rear derailleur. The gear shifting performance was smooth and there was no lag experienced. The Shimano EF500/Microshift TS38 shifters were responsive and easy to operate and are placed at a comfortable position and easily accessible.
Note: The Firefox Torreto 27.5D comes with either a Shimano or Microshift drivetrain.

The Firefox Torreto comes with Wanda 27.5” x 2.10” MTB tires. These tires have bulky treads and a uniform tread pattern which provided good traction on tar and non-tar surfaces. This wheelset provided a faster rolling resistance as well as a balanced ride on flat trails.
The stock saddle from Firefox is not the most ergonomic in design but is well cushioned for a soreness free ride and you wouldn’t need an extra gel or foam seat cover.
This Alloy hardtail MTB has a comfortable frame geometry and a wide 660mm handlebar, the powerful Mechanical Disc brakes made it easy to stop on flat trails and urban roads. The 27.5” tires were heavily treaded and fast rolling. The 21-Speed Microshift/Shimano gears were smooth in shifting. Priced at Rs.23,500(as on 12th January 2021) the Firefox Torreto 27.5D is an ideal choice for anyone looking to buy a Bicycle for riding on flat trails during the weekend and on urban roads during the week.
