This frame is built for performance to ride on flat trails and the roughest of urban roads.
The XC40 front suspension fork made a considerable difference in absorbing vibrations of the surface during the test ride.
Quick shifts of up and down were smooth and did not have any lags.
During the test ride these brakes were balanced and reactive to bring the Bicycle to a safe but quick halt.

FitTrip is an Indian Bicycle brand which forayed into the market not so long ago. With their focus lying in MTBs, FitTrip have multiple models in their portfolio for different types of terrains and riders. We got the opportunity to test ride the FitTrip Snyper 221 27.5 and here is what we thought.

The FitTrip Snyper 221 27.5 is a strong and comfortable hardtail MTB with sporty graphics and 4 colour variants.
The FitTrip Sniper 221 is built on a strong Steel Hardtail frame. This frame is built for performance to ride on flat trails and the roughest of urban roads. The slanted top tube allows for the rider to tuck in their knees during drops so as to balance the Bicycle. The tubes are welded smoothly and the Steel material has been used in perfect proportion on parts of the frame, which could experience maximum impact from the surface of the trail.
The XC40 front suspension fork made a considerable difference in absorbing vibrations of the surface during the test ride. The travel was sufficient for rolling over rough patches.

The Snyper 221 27.5 which I test rode came in a full Black frame with Blue and Orange graphics. The matte finish paint job is top quality and blends the colours used in a neat manner. The slanting top tube and the long handlebar make this Bicycle look longer and sleeker in design. The colour coded saddle and rim along with the bulky treads on the tire make this MTB score high in design.

This Hardtail MTB from FitTrip comes equipped with Shimano Tourney in the front and rear as derailleurs. These are entry-level MTB specific componentry from Shimano and they did perform well during the test ride. Quick shifts of up and down were smooth and did not have any lags. The 3x7-Speed combination with Shimano shifters made sure there was enough range of gears for gradual climbs and acceleration.

The JAK Mechanical Disc brakes handled the stopping power on the Snyper 221. These brakes are as powerful as it can get on an urban MTB. During the test ride these brakes were balanced and reactive to bring the Bicycle to a safe but quick halt.
The 680mm handlebar was lengthy and comfortable with risers to make it ideal, if you are looking to commute with it.

This Hardtail MTB rolls on a pair of Compass 27.5” x 2.10” MTB tires. These tires are heavily treaded with bulky treads which cover the tires evenly. This makes sure even fast cornering is safe on wet surfaces. The stock MTB saddle is perfectly designed to make sure the rider is safe and sore free on a bumpy ride.

This MTB has a strong and comfortable Steel frame, which is designed for riding on roughest of surfaces. The powerful Mechanical Disc brakes make it perfectly safe to brake when riding fast on rough surfaces. The heavily treaded tires provide enough traction and rolls safely on wet roads. Priced at Rs.19,600 (as on 4th February 2021) the FitTrip Snyper 221 27.5 is an ideal choice MTB for both moderate trails and rough urban roads.
