Hercules is an Indian bicycle brand with a long legacy. They have been manufacturing bicycles for kids, teenagers and adults with new and refreshing designs and graphics every year. The Marvel range of bicycles are all Superhero themed and come in various tire sizes. We got the opportunity to test ride the Hercules Marvel Thor 26 and here is what we thought.
An Avenger Superhero themed bicycle which is ideal for short commutes and leisure rides.
Frame - The Hercules Marvel Thor 26 is built on a dual suspension steel frame. The frame is strong and also has a simple geometry which gives a comfortable riding posture.
Fork -This bicycle has front and rear suspension forks. These suspension forks are minimal in travel for the occasional bumps on urban roads but indeed make the ride comfortable.
Drivetrain - The Thor 26 is built on a single-speed drivetrain which is easy to pedal and to maintain.
Braking -The bicycle is equipped with standard V-brakes at the front and rear. These brakes were easy to use and also provided sufficient stopping power for safe braking on city roads.
Tires -The Hercules Marvel Thor rolls on a pair of 26” rubber tires. These tires were well treaded and capable of rolling on rough surfaces as well.
Other Features - Cushioned PU saddle.
Colours -The bicycle is available in only 1 colour option – Black with Silver mist.
The Thor 26 can be ridden by kids/teenagers in the height range of 4’ 8” to 5’ 6”
This bicycle with 26” wheels, which are fast rolling with a good, tread pattern. The Steel frame is strong and it has a comfortable geometry for a straight back riding posture. The Avengers and Thor themed graphics and design were aesthetic. The dual suspension frame gave it an adult bicycle look. The Hercules Marvel Thor 26 is priced at Rs.8,450 (Price as on 30th April 2019).
