Cycles of India, has a range of modern bicycles that is targetted to appeal to youngsters’ preferences. One such bicycle from this range is the Hercules Streetcat Pro 26T, and we were able to check it out. Read on for our thoughts.

An affordable 26” bicycle that is ideal for city commutes.
Frame - The Hercules Streetcat Pro 26T is made using a sleek Steel frame. Though traditionally steel is associated with being heavy, these bicycles are designed to be relatively light. Additionally, a Steel frame means durability and strength. This bicycle is available in a single, standard frame size.
Fork - The Hercules Streetcat Pro 26T has a rigid Steel fork.
Drivetrain - The Hercules Streetcat Pro 26T is a single-speed bicycle which is ideal for strightforward, no-fuss usage for commutes/ leisure rides within a city/town.
Braking - The Hercules Streetcat Pro 26T has Power V-Brakes at the front and rear. The braking was responsive,stable and safe. The brake levers are easy to use and require two-three fingers to operate.
Tires - The Hercules Streetcat Pro 26T rolls on a pair of 26” x 2.35” tires that are broad and well treaded, thus ensuring added balance, superior grip and enhanced safety.
Other Features - Broad well-cushioned Saddle, Mudguards, Broad Pedals, QR on seatpost, comfortable grips.
Colours - This bicycle is available in two colour options – Matte Black with Neon Yellow and Blue graphics and Matte Black with Neon Orange and Blue graphics.
An ideal bicycle for teenagers and young adults
The Hercules Streetcat Pro 26T has a Steel frame that is sturdy and durable. The frame geometry ensures a comfortable riding position that is upright and open-chested. The broad and well treaded tires ensure superior control, balance and safety. To add to the basic features, this bicycle comes with additional features like mudguards that make it extremely worth the money spent. The Hercules Streetcat Pro 26T is priced at Rs. 5,580 (as on 30th August 2019) and makes for a great “commuter” bike for teenagers and young adults.
