We got the opportunity to test ride Ninety One’s Windrider 29T Multispeed MTB and here is what we thought.

The Ninety One Windrider 29T is a comfortable Steel Hardtail MTB with powerful Mechanical Disc brakes and an aesthetic design.
The Ninety One Windrider 29T Multi-Speed is built around a Hardtail Steel frame. The Steel frame has a conventional frame geometry which was comfortable to ride. This frame was capable of taking in vibrations of the surface on rough trails and urban roads. This strong Steel frame made it safe and capable of handling hard hitting on the frame from the surface.
This Hardtail MTB comes with stock Tuf Shox front suspension fork with an impressive 80mm travel. This travel was smooth in working during the test ride and helped roll over uneven surfaces with ease.

The Windrider 29T Multi-Speed from Ninety One which we test rode came with Forest Green as the primary colour with White as the secondary colour for the graphics and text. The gloss finish paint job was top notch in quality. The black saddle with bold ‘91’ and the 91 logo on the bottom tube were definitely eye catching. The colour coded fork enhanced the aesthetics of this Bicycle.

The Ninety One Windrider 29T Multi-Speed comes equipped with Shimano Tourney at the front and rear as derailleurs. These are entry-level gearing components in Shimano’s MTB hierarchy and they performed to their limits during the test ride. On rough urban roads and flat trails, these derailleurs were ideal for quick and short gear changes. The EZFire 21-Speed Shimano trigger shifters were easy to use and in easy reach from the handlebar grips.

This MTB’s stopping power is handled by a pair of Purk Mechanical Disc brakes at the front and rear. These brakes were powerful, safe and balanced on rough and smooth roads. Both interval and jamming of brakes felt in control when used during the test ride.
The stock Alloy handlebar on the Windrider 29T Multi-Speed was both comfortable and wide enough with a raise from the middle to give the rider an open chested riding posture.

The 29” x 2.40” Hartex branded MTB tires on the Ninety One Windrider Multi-Speed was heavily treaded to generate a lot of traction on rough surfaces. The 29” circumference made it easy to ride over rough trails and urban roads.
The stock saddle was wide and had enough cushioning to keep the rider comfortable on bumpy rides.

This Hardtail MTB is built on a strong Steel frame with a comfortable riding posture. The stock front suspension fork absorbs vibrations of the surface. The Purk Mechanical Disc brakes were powerful and quick. The 91 logo on the bottom tube, gloss finish paint job and graphics were aesthetic.
