Weight: 15.4 kgs
Category: Trail/Fitness
The Triad M7 is built on a strong and lightweight Hardtail Alloy frame. MTB’s are supposed to be strong and often presumed to be heavy but this AL-Tech 6061 engineered Alloy frame keeps the weight in check. The frame geometry with its slanting top tube was ideal with a combination of comfort and aggressiveness which is suitable for riding across any terrain. The lengthy rear triangle helps in gaining better stability and distributes the frame weight equally.
A true performance focused MTB is clearly reflected with the inclusion of a Zoom branded Suspension fork on the M7 came with an 100mm travel and also a useful and smoothly working suspension lock-out which helps in smoother rides and better acceleration on flatter surfaces.
The M7 which I test rode came in a full Matte Polar Grey as the primary colour with Black as the secondary colour for text and graphics. The block style of graphics on the frame tubes made the frame look stylish. The brand name Triad printed on the Double Walled Alloy rims enhanced the aesthetics of this Hardtail MTB.
The M7 comes equipped with Shimano Tourney 3-Speed at the front and Shimano Acera 8-Speed at the rear as derailleurs. Acera is a mid-level gearing component in Shimano’s MTB hierarchy. Getting an 8-Speed rear derailleur is definitely a boost for a MTB at this price. Installed with a Shimano’s 8-Speed cassette, this provides precise and smooth gear shits. The Shimano Alloy trigger shifters were easy to operate with a neat design and a sleek gear indicator display.
The braking department in this MTB is definitely a major positive. The M7 from Triad comes equipped with Kamros Hydraulic Disc brakes at the front and rear. These Hydraulic Disc brakes provided powerful and balanced braking performance on rough trails and urban roads as well. The brake levers were easy to engage.
The 680mm Alloy handlebar was wide and gave an open chested riding posture while still being comfortable.

The Triad M7 rolls on a pair of Maxxis Pace 29” x 2.10” MTB tires along with Double Walled Alloy rims. Having Maxxis tires are a plus point from a rider’s perspective as they are known for better rubber compounds and a longer life span. The treading was bulky and evenly spaced out, giving superior traction on rough trails. The 29” wheel size ensured easy rolling over obstacles.
The stock Triad saddle was sporty in design with the perfect length and width to keep the rider comfortable and stable.
This MTB is built on an AL Tech 6061 Alloy frame which is comfortable to ride. The Zoom 100mm suspension fork with lock-out makes it ideal for smooth and rough terrains. The Hydraulic Disc brakes and Kenda 29” tires made this Bicycle roll faster and stop quicker. Priced at Rs.35,999(as on 10th May 2021) the Triad M7 is an ideal choice for anyone looking to buy a Hardtail MTB with performance focused components without burning a hole in their wallet.
