Snapshot

The Trail 6 27.5” (2019) is built using Cannondale's S.A.V.E built in Suspension technology on a lightweight and strong Alloy frame. This frame has a tapered head tube and smooth welded edges which can take in vibrations of the trails. The slanting top tube makes the ride geometry aggressive and comfortable as well. The SR Suntour XCM-RL front suspension fork comes with a 1mm travel which worked really well on the roughest of trails. The remote suspension lockout with the button on the handlebar was easy to operate and useful to make the fork rigid quickly.

This bicycle is equipped with a 2-Speed Microshift direct mount front derailleur and a Shimano Acera 9-Speed rear derailleur. Microshift is a separate brand and seen as an alternate to Shimano for gearing components and is an entry-level derailleur. The Acera at the rear is a recent version from the Acera line and was fast in transmission. The Shimano Altus 18-Speed shifters were easy to use.

The 2x9-Speed Microshift/Acera drivetrain was smooth and crisp in gear shifts

The Trail 6 27.5” (2019) which I test rode came in a full Yellow frame with Black and Grey as the secondary colours. The gloss finish paint job was of superior quality which was shining. This bicycle has information stickers all over the bicycle, which tells the specific technical aspects, which is a nice touch to the bicycle. The internal cable routing makes the bicycle look neat.

The Trail 6 is equipped with Shimano's MT2 Hydraulic Disc brakes. These brakes were the best you can get on hardtail MTB's. These brakes were safe and balanced on the most slippery and roughest of trails. The Shimano Brake levers needed only 2 or 3 fingers to use.Cannondale C4 MTB handlebars were wide at 72mm. This width made sure the rider has full control and great handling capabilities while out on the trails. The slight raise form the middle made sure the rider is comfortable as well.

The Cannondale Trail 6 27.5” (2019) rolls on a pair of WTB Ranger Comp 27.5” x 2.25” MTB tires. These tires are built for moderate and flat trails mainly because of its thick tread pattern and the 2.25 inches width. The stock Cannondale Stage 3 MTB Saddle was ergonomic in shape and keeps you comfortable on fast and bumpy trail rides.

This is a hardtail MTB built on a full Alloy frame with Cannondale's S.A.V.E Suspension technology. The 1mm front suspension fork was smooth and had a remote suspension lockout with its switch attached to the handlebar.
