The Firefox Mountrail has been made using a 661 Alloy hardtail frame. The top-notch quality of the welding on the frame is evident from the smooth edges. The smooth welding helps keep this frame lightweight. The frame geometry is a well-balanced combination of aggression and comfort, making the bicycle perfect to tackle harsh trails with ease. The frame has a mounting options for two water bottle holders.This bicycle is available in 2 frame sizing options – 17” and 19”. This bicycle has a SR Suntour XCM suspension fork with a 1mm travel and a hydraulic remote lockout. The stiffness of the suspension fork can be adjusted according to one's weight by adjusting the knob that's on the left side of the suspension fork. The suspension works well to absorb shocks felt when riding on rough and rugged trails. When on the test ride, the suspension was very impressive in absorbing the shock felt from riding on harsh surfaces.

The Firefox Mountrail comes equipped with a Shimano Acera front derailleur and a Shimano Alivio rear derailleur. While on the test ride there was no evidence of a lag in the gear transmissions. The shifting is controlled Shimano Alivio shifters, the 27-Speed shifting worked seamlessly with crisp and clean shifting. However, the placement of the shifters on the handlebar did require some efforts to reach, and a slight extra push.

The Firefox Mountrail has a Matte Black frame with Yellow and Light Blue decals. The branding on the bicycle stands out in bold White lettering. The high-quality paint job is a definite pointer of the attention to detail by the designers. This bicycle is available in a single colour option. Notably, the bicycle has internal cabling which not only adds to it's overall aesthetic appeal but also its performance.

The Firefox Mountrail comes equipped Shimano Acera Hydraulic Disc brakes. When tested, the braking was found to be powerful and efficient. Both power braking and progressive, feathered braking felt stable and balanced, even when on sand/ loose gravel. It is safe to say that these brakes will perform with efficiency and precision on dry and wet surfaces alike. This bicycle comes equipped with a Zoom Alloy 69mm wide handlebar. The handlebar is on the longer side to allow superior balance and control of the bicycle when riding on harsh trails. The grips on the handlebar were comfortable and ideal for usage on harsh terrains.

This bicycle comes equipped with Kenda K114A 27.5” x 2.1” tires. These tires are attached to double-walled Alex Alloy Rims. Furthermore, these tires are tubeless-ready. These tires are a perfect mix of speed and traction, which are ideal for harsh trails. On softer mud trails, these tires could roll over efficiently without sinking in. The stock saddle on this bicycle is perfectly designed for the trail rider. The ergonomic design makes sure soreness is the last thing you would have to worry about on an already shaky trail.
