Snapshot

The Hero Sprint Traveller 7C Single Speed is built on a full rigid Steel frame. The slightly slanting top tube and simple geometry made sure the rider has a comfortable riding posture. The Steel frame does feel a bit heavy when climbing on flyovers and requires an extra bit of push to get moving. The strength of the Steel makes sure the bicycle can withstand a lot of hard hitting of the surface on rough urban roads. The rigid Steel fork was thin and could take in the vibrations from the bumps and speed breakers.

Comfortable frame geometry with a standard 18.5” frame size

As in the name of this bicycle, this Traveller 7C comes with a single-speed drivetrain. The 18 teeth freewheel along with a 44 teeth crankset were perfect in size to pedal fast and with minimal effort on urban roads. Riding on inclines and flyovers did feel the need for gears but for short commutes this drivetrain is sufficient.

The Single-Speed drivetrain was easy to pedal and is cost effective in maintece

This Hybrid Single Speed bicycle that I test rode came in a full Black frame with Blue and Red as the secondary colours for the graphics and text. The matte finish paint job was of great quality which is a positive for a bicycle at this price. The colour coded Black/Red handlebar grips and rims along with thin tube profiling made the bicycle look aesthetic.

The Traveller 7c Single Speed comes in 3 colour variants; Black with Green/Blue, Green and White with Orange/Black

The Sprandum branded V-Brakes handle the braking on the Traveller Single Speed. These brakes were powerful enough to bring the bicycle to a sudden halt and also felt balanced during the test ride on slightly rough urban roads. The Steel 62mm handlebar comes with a raise in the middle which made the posture comfortable and the padded palm grips decreased the vibration transfers to the hand from the surface.

"
These V-Brakes were effective and quick in stoppages on both dry and wet city roads

The Hero Sprint Traveller Single Speed rolls on a pair of Ralson 7c hybrid sleek tires. These tires definitely contributed towards the easy acceleration of this bicycle. The tires provided enough traction for safe rides during fast turns and braking on slightly muddy roads. The PU Saddle wasn’t the most ergonomic in design but had enough cushioning to keep the rider comfortable.

The 7c tires were sleek and fast rolling making it perfect for Urban roads

This hybrid bicycle was comfortable to ride with a straight back posture. The sleek frame tubes and 7c tires made the ride fast and easy to accelerate. The conventional V-Brakes made sure the braking experience was safe and balanced on wet and dry roads. Priced at Rs.8,575 (as on 2nd April 219) the Hero Sprint Traveller 7c Single Speed is an ideal bicycle for commuting and for fitness/leisure rides.Prices are subject to change by the brand, without due notice.
