The Mach City iBike has been made using a traditional steel frame. While steel is known to be on the heavier side, the design of this bicycle and the welding on the frame contributes towards reducing the overall weight of this bicycle. The bicycle has a downward sloping top tube which makes it perfect for women riders. The geometry of the frame ensures a comfortable, upright riding position. Additionally, the women specific frame design enables easier mounting and dismounting. This bicycle comes equipped with a rigid fork. There is also a mounting provision for a single water bottle holder. In an upgrade this year, the bicycle comes equipped with a front basket, and front and rear mudguards that are made of good quality metal.

A women specific frame design that ensures a comfortable riding position
The Mach City iBike W is a straightforward single-speed bicycle. The bicycle is ideal for city commuting and leisure riding. The bicycle could require extra effort while riding on elevated areas in the city, like on flyovers or in cities with variable terrains. In today's world of technological advancements, straightforward single speed bicycles are losing their base and the introduction of the single speed line by Mach City is reviving their popularity.

A no-fuss single speed bicycle
The Mach City iBike has been designed keeping simplicity and elegance in mind. The welding on the edges of the frame looked simple and neat. The bicycle we test road came in a Cameo green with minimal branding in black and grey. The attached basket and mudguards add to the overall aesthetics of this bicycle. The bicycle is available in two colour variants - Cameo Green and Matte Black, and in two sizing options - Medium (17”) and Large (201”) which is only available in Matte Black.

Well designed for simplicity
The 58mm handlebar on the iBike W Single Speed, has an upward curvature (i.e. a bird type steel handlebar) and ensures a comfortable, upright riding position. The width of the handlebar allows for superior control and maneuverability in crowded riding conditions. The handlebar grips were on the harder side, which might affect cyclists using the bicycle on longer duration rides. The Mach City iBike W Single Speed comes equipped with Alloy V-Brakes that offer adequate stopping power for city usage. However, the brakes are not as effective when riding on wet and slippery surfaces, and require some extra force to bring the bicycle to a complete stop.

Adequate stopping power for city use
The 26'' x 1.95'' Ralson tires that come with the Mach City iBike W Single Speed are sturdy and could possibly be why this bicycle can be used on simple trails apart from the city. The front wheel is fitted with a quick release, which makes removing and putting the wheel back on much simpler. The thicker width of the tires makes the bicycle more stable and balanced on bumpy surfaces. This bicycle comes equipped with a comfortable foam saddle that is wide enough to comfortably accommodate one's sit bones. Additionally, the seat post has a quick release option, making adjusting the height of the saddle easier on the go. The overall ride quality was pretty smooth and favorable, especially considering the bicycle is aimed at city rides.
