Polygon is an International bicycle manufacturer from Indonesia. First launched in 1989, Polygon has now close to 3 years of experience in making world standard bicycles for all purposes. Their category of bicycles includes Road, MTB, Hybrids, BMX and Youth bicycles. Polygon has been in India for a few years, and their 2019 range showcases a wide range of bicycles made for the Indian market. The Polygon Divine R5 has a lightweight ALX performance Aluminum Alloy frame. The top-notch quality of the welding on the frame is evident from the smooth edges. The smooth welding helps keep this frame lightweight and durable. The endurance-oriented frame geometry has been created specifically for a women's body anatomy, to deliver maximum performance while being comfortable. This bicycle is equipped with a lightweight carbon fork and a standard carbon steerer. The design of the fork allows for optimal absorption of shocks felt from the road, transferring almost no vibrations to the rider. This bicycle is available is three sizing options - 43cm, 46cm and 49cm.

The Polygon Divine R5 comes equipped with a Shimano 15 drivetrain. The shifting was smooth and precise, and with no evidence of a lag in the gear transmission. Given the price point of this bicycle, a complete Shimano 15 drivetrain is impressive and thus leaving no room for complaints in this department.

The Polygon Divine R5 has a Black frame with Blue and Pinkish-Purple dual colours as secondary colours. The paint work on this bicycle is definitely something that will grab one's attention. The paint finish on this bicycle appears to be of top-notch quality. This bicycle is available in a single colour option. Notably, the bicycle has internal cabling which not only adds to its overall aesthetic appeal but also its performance.

The Polygon Divine R5 comes equipped with Shimano 15 V-brakes. When tested, the braking was found to be powerful and efficient. Both power braking and progressive, feathered braking felt stable and balanced. It is safe to say that these brakes will perform with efficiency and precision on dry and wet surfaces alike. This bicycle comes equipped with an Entity Sport Alloy handlebar. The width of the handlebar is 38mm on the 43cm and 46cm bicycles, and 4mm on the 49cm frame size. The width of the handlebar is ideal for women riders, enabling a comfortable riding position. Overall, the reach was comfortable, when using the drop bars as well.

Efficient braking with adequate power

The Polygon Divine R5 comes with a pair of 7x28c performance tires which are attached to Entity XL3 Tubeless Ready Tires. Cornering was easy, while being stable and controlled. Given the top notch specs across the bicycle, the tires on this bicycle could have been upgraded to something more durable and long lasting. The bicycle comes equipped with an Entity Aion saddle which was comfortable when on the test ride.
