Polygon is an International bicycle brand manufactured in Indonesia. They are known for bicycles with performance-focused components with a value for money price tag. Strattos is Polygon's entry to mid-level range of road bicycles. We got the opportunity to test ride the Polygon Strattos S4 (2019) and here is what we thought. Weight: 9.48 kgs Usage: Sport/Racing

The tapered fork is super-light and helps immensely in reducing the overall weight of the bicycle.

The Strattos S4 (2019) is built on a ALX performance road full alloy frame. The frame geometry is endurance focused and can be safely termed as an all-rounder as the riding posture on the hoods and drops are suited for both flat out speeds and tiresome hill climbs. The tapered fork is super-light and helps immensely in reducing the overall weight of the bicycle.

The Strattos S4 is equipped with Shimnao's 47 Tiagra groupset at the front and rear as derailleurs. Tiagra is still the only stock 1-Speed drivetrain available in Shimano's road component stable. The shifting was quick and responsive during the test ride. The ST-47 Tiagra shifters have lost their gear indicators and have gone for the latest look which is similar to their bigger brother's the 15 and Ultegra.

This road bicycle from Polygon which I test rode came in a full black frame with yellow as the secondary colour. The matte finish paint job quality was smooth with flashy and bright yellow graphics. Internal cable routing for the gears made sure the bicycle looked neat and also increases the life span of the cables.

The Polygon Strattos S4's stopping power is handled by Shimano Tiagra's BR-47 standard road caliper brakes. The dual pivots provide light, comfortable performance thanks to Shimano's significant increase in modulation.The Entity Sport drop handlebar on this bicycle was comfortable on the hoods and drops. The bar tape was grippy even with wet hands and gloves. The 48-51cm frame sizes come with a 4mm handlebar and the 54-6cm frame sizes come with 42mm handlebar.

The Schwalbe Lugano 7x25C road tires were perfect for racing and climbing on smooth tarmac. The rubber compounds were strong and does give a long life, thus making it value for money. The Entity Aion stock saddle was designed ergonomically for an endurance road bicycle to make sure the rider can be seated for long hours without experiencing any soreness.
