Roadeo has been an established bicycle brand for many years now. Their cycles are mainly targeted at teenage riders, mainly for commuting and leisure riding in the neighborhood. Over the years Roadeo have developed its bicycles to be ridden by adults as well as on rough flat trails other than the usual urban rides. From the 2018 range of Roadeos we got the opportunity to test ride the Roadeo A5 and here is what we thought. Weight: 15.1 kgs Usage: Leisure/Commute

These brakes were powerful, safe and balanced to use when used on rough and smooth roads.

The Roadeo A5 is one of the few Alloy framed bicycles in the Roadeo series. This frame has standard and comfortable frame geometry. This Alloy frame is strong and can take in quite a bit of vibration from the surface to make the ride smooth for the rider on bumpy roads.An Urban MTB is what the A5 can be categorized as and they come with front suspension fork. The fork comes with a unique and stylish inverted suspension system which was smooth in working.

This hardtail Alloy frame comes in 2 frame sizes; 17” and 18.5”
The Roadeo A5 which comes equipped with Shimano Tourney at the front and rear as derailleurs. These are entry-level gearing components in Shimano's MTB and Hybrid hierarchy and they performed to their limits during the test ride. On urban roads riding amidst traffic, these derailleurs were ideal for quick and short gear changes. The EZ Fire Shimano trigger shifters were easy to use and in easy reach from the handlebar grips.

This Roadeo A5 which I test rode came in a Matte Black frame with Neon Green and Blue. The graphics in these secondary colours are bright and racy with the colour coded fork, saddle, grips and rims. The unique inverted fork was stylish in design.

This Urban MTB's stopping power is handled by a C-Star BX-35 Mechanical Disc brake at the front and a Power V-brake at the rear. These brakes were powerful, safe and balanced to use when used on rough and smooth roads. Both interval and jamming of brakes felt in control when used during the test ride.The XMR Alloy 6mm handlebar on this bicycle was both comfortable and wide enough to give the rider an open chested riding posture.

C-Star Mechanical Disc brakes at the front and a Power V-brake at the rear was safe and balanced to use on rough and smooth urban roads
The Wanda King 26” x 2.1” MTB tires on the A5 was treaded enough to generate a decent amount of traction from the tarmac. The 26” wheel size is a bit small to tackle flat trails but it does have fast rolling resistance which is useful for rough urban roads The soft PU XMR Saddle wasn’t the most ergonomic but it was cushioned enough to keep the rider comfortable.

This Urban MTB has a comfortable riding posture with its simple frame geometry and lightweight Alloy Frame. The inverted suspension fork was stylish and unique. The matte finish paint job with bright Neon Green made the bicycle flashy.
