The Firefox Bronco 27.5D is built using a strong hardtail Alloy frame. This frame has a slanting top tube which gives extra stand over clearance for the rider. This helps when riding on bumpy trails and roads with lots of up's and down's. The tubes are bulky with top and bottom tubes fused near the headset to give strength to the frame for taking hard hitting of the surface. This is a hardtail MTB and comes with a front suspension fork. The Zoom suspension fork comes with a 8mm travel which was perfect for moderate trails and rough roads.

A Lightweight Alloy frame with a slanting top tube for extra stand over clearance and a smooth 8mm suspension fork
This hardtail MTB is equipped with Shimano Tourney at the front and Altus at the rear. These gears are entry and mid-level in the Shimano MTB hierarchy and they proved their efficiency during the test ride with smooth gear transmissions. The 21-Speed Shimano Altus EF5 trigger shifters were easy to use and in reach from the handlebar grips.

The Shimano Tourney/Altus 21-Speed drivetrain was smooth and efficient in gear changes
The bicycle which I test rode came in a full Grey frame with Yellow and Red as secondary colours for the text and graphics. The matte finish paint job was of superior quality giving a smooth finish. The graphic design was simple yet elegant and the bright and dark colour combinations were contrasting and aesthetic.

The Bronco 27.5D comes in just 2 matte finish colour variants; Dark Grey with Yellow/Red and Blue with Yellow
Tektro's Aries Mechanical Disc brakes handle the stopping power on the Bronco 27.5D. These brakes were quick to respond on both dry and wet surfaces. These brakes from Tektro are a good bargain as a component for a MTB at this price and make the trail ride safer. Zoom Alloy 64mm handlebar was wide and perfectly suited for fast trails and urban roads.

Tektro's Aries Mechanical Disc brakes are powerful and balanced
The Kenda 27.5” x 2.125” tires in the Firefox Bronco 27.5D are heavily treaded and this helps in rolling over rough surfaces easily. The treads are spread out in a uniform manner and helps get enough traction even on fast turns. The stock Firefox Saddle was shaped perfectly but could have had slightly more cushioning for better comfort.

The Kenda 27.5” x 2.125” MTB tires were heavily treaded with a uniform tread pattern
This hardtail MTB has extra standover clearance thanks to its slanting top tube. The Tourney/Altus 21-Speed derailleurs are smooth in transmission. Tektro's Aries Mechanical Disc brakes are powerful enough for fast paced rides on trails. The 27.5” Kenda tires are both fast rolling and heavily treaded to provide enough traction on wet and dry surfaces. Priced at Rs.22,2 (as on 8th April 219) the Firefox Bronco 27.5D is an ideal choice for anyone looking to buy an MTB to be ridden on flat trails and urban roads.Prices are subject to change by the brand, without due notice.
