Snapshot

The Hero Sprint Count 26T SS is built on a hardtail frame made with full Steel. The slanting top tube helps the rider get more standover clearance, which is useful when getting off the saddle on to the front when riding over rough surfaces. The riding posture was comfortable with no aggressiveness felt in the shoulder, elbows or back. The front suspension fork had a minimal working travel of 5mm which was ideal for bumpy surfaces and speed breakers.

The Count 26T SS is a Single-Speed bicycle. This simple drivetrain is easy to maintain and also pedals smoothly on city roads with minimal elevations. The 44T Steel crankset along with 18 teeth freewheel made sure the pedaling motion and acceleration was easy even from a stand still point. The pedals were wide and had a good grip pattern.

This Hero Sprint bicycle that I test rode came in a full Black frame with Green and Grey as the secondary colours for the graphics and text. The front and rear mudguards are not just useful features but also are colour coded in Black/Green. The matte finish paint job was smooth and made this bicycle look premium.

The Count 26T SS has a combination of Disc and V-brakes. The Front has a Sprandum branded Mechanical Disc brake and the rear has a standard V-brake. Both these brakes were powerful and had enough stopping power to bring the bicycle to a quick halt on both smooth and rough urban roads. The front disc brake is good value add feature for a bicycle at this price. The Steel raiser handlebar comes with a raise in the middle which made the posture comfortable. The grips were designed to give support to the palms but it did lack actual grip on it.

The Hero Sprint Count 26T SS rolls on a pair of Ralson 26” x 2.125” tires. These tires were fast rolling with a tread pattern, which helped get great traction on rough roads. The PU Saddle was cushioned and wide to keep the rider comfortable on bumpy roads and long rides. The saddle was also aesthetically designed with the model name printed on it.
