Kross Bikes are a part of the Hero Eco group. The Brand has an extensive range of bicycles for kids, teenagers and adults that feature aesthetic designs, stylish graphics, and packed with features. We got to test the Kross Trigger 26 Single Speed and here are our thoughts. Weight: 19.8 kgs Usage: Leisure/Commute
A strong, comfortable to ride and a value for money dual suspension bicycle for teenagers.
The Kross Trigger 26 Single Speed is built on a strong Steel frame. This dual-suspension frame geometry is ideal for a comfortable riding posture. The integrated carrier from the frame at the rear is strong and useful with a 25-3 Kg weight bearing capacity. When it comes to steel, along with the strength comes the heaviness and this bicycle weighed 19.8 kilograms. This is heavy and difficulty is faced when one has to carry this cycle up the stairs or when riding on inclined roads and flyovers. The frame size in measurement is 19.5 inches but the curved top tube makes sure there is extra standover clearance. The front suspension fork is minimal in travel and smoothness which was useful on potholes and speed breakers. The rear suspension below the seat needed some weight on it or a bigger pothole or bump for it to function fully to its capacity.

The Trigger 26 is a Single-Speed Urban MTB. This drivetrain is simple and easy to maintain. The pedaling was easy and ideal for cycling amidst traffic in the city. The 44T x 18T setup is the standard single speed ratio. With just cleaning and greasing of oil once in a month, this bicycle will pedal smoothly.

The Trigger 26 which I test rode came in a gloss Black frame with Orange, Yellow and White used as secondary colours for graphics, logo and text. The curved top tube was stylish. With front and rear mudguards, dual suspensions and an integrated rear carrier, this bicycle looks fully equipped.

This bicycle comes in 3 colour variants; Gloss Black, Gloss Red and Gloss Blue
This bicycle's stopping power is controlled by a pair of Sprandom branded V-Brakes. These brakes were standard and were ideal for quick and safe stoppage on both rough and smooth roads. The raiser handlebar with the upward curved bar ends was standard and made sure the rider had more than 1 place to hold on to the bar.

The stock 26” x 1.95” tires were the perfect combination of fast rolling and good traction. These tires were balanced during the test ride when ridden on slightly muddy and also wet roads. The stock Kross saddle on the Trigger was cushioned well to keep the rider sore free on bumpy rides in the city.

This bicycle has a strong steel frame which is a bit heavy but the frame geometry makes it a comfortable ride. The integrated rear carrier, front and rear mudguards and a single speed drivetrain makes this bicycle fully loaded.
