The Premier Five is built around an AluTech hardtail alloy frame. The frame is strong but not too heavy for a MTB, which ensures that it can handle a lot of hard hitting from the surface. The frame is designed to be built taller from the ground up, giving a larger ground clearance. The Suntour XCM HLO Suspension fork was smooth in functioning during the test ride with a 1mm travel making sure that most of the vibrations of the surface are absorbed. The suspension lockout was easy to use and was useful while riding faster on flatter patches.

This hardtail alloy frame is strong yet lightweight and the suspension fork has a 1mm travel and a suspension lockout
Shimano's Altus at the front and Acera at the rear form the drivetrain on the Polygon Premier Five. These gearing components from Shimano were smooth and quick in transmission during the test ride. The 27-Speed gear range was enough for steep climbs and quick accelerations. For the price of this bicycle the groupset is value for money.

The Premier Five which I test rode came in a brown primary colour with neon orange as the secondary colour. The sleek chain and seat stays looks elegant on the frame. The graphics were simple yet bright with a colour coded fork, saddle and rims. The lengthy handlebar and heavily treaded tires gave this bicycle the perfect MTB look.

The Premier 5 comes in just 1 colour variant; Brown with Orange graphics
The Tektro Hydraulic Disc brakes were as powerful as it can get on a mid-level hardtail MTB. During the test ride, the brakes were powerful and felt balanced to use on both wet and dry conditions. The 76mm Entity branded handlebar was lengthy and not the most comfortable if you are looking to commute with this bicycle. But they are perfectly suited for trail races on single tracks with up's and downs.

The Tektro HD-M275 Hydraulic Disc brakes were powerful and the 76mm lengthy handlebar was perfect for trail racing
This hardtail MTB rolls on a pair of Trax 29” x 2.25” tires. These tires are heavily treaded with bulky treads which cover the tires evenly. This makes sure even fast cornering is safe on wet trails. The Entity MTB saddle is perfectly designed and is ergonomic to make sure the rider is safe and sore free on a bumpy ride.
