Acrolt as a brand aims to create a healthy and green world by encouraging more people to be enthusiastic about Cycling and in the process, reducing the need for vehicles with carbon emissions for shorter commutes. We got the opportunity to test ride the Acrolt Tek Hardtail MTB and here is what we thought.Weight: 14.4kgsUsage: Fitness/Commute

Snapshot

The Acrolt Tek is built on a lightweight Alloy frame. This frame had thin tubes with neatly welded edges. The conventional geometry was comfortable to ride with a slanting top tube. The frame was responsive and definitely helped ride fast and contributed to easy climbing on flyovers and other road inclines. The front suspension fork was sufficient to tackle the bumps on the roads.

The Acrolt Tek is equipped with Shimano's Tourney at the front and rear as derailleurs. This is an entry-level Hybrid Bicycle groupset and the gears shifted smoothly during the test ride with no evident lags. The Shimano 21-Speed trigger shifters were easy to use.

The Acrolt Tek which we test rode came in a full Grey frame with Yellow and Blue as the secondary colours for the text and graphics. The matte finish paint job along with the contrasting Blue and Yellow graphics made the Bicycle stand out on the road. The thin tubes and colour coded saddle immensely enhanced the aesthetics of this Bicycle.

This Hybrid Bicycle's stopping power is handled by a pair of JAK Mechanical Disc brakes at the front and rear. These brakes were powerful, safe and balanced on both dry and wet roads. Both interval braking and jamming of brakes felt in control when used during the test ride. The Alloy handlebar on this Bicycle was both comfortable and wide enough to give the rider an open chested riding posture.
