The CROSSWAY V1 comes with an aluminium light weight alloy 661 frame. The frame design is done to ensure upright riding and ease for long rides, the front suspension has good functional response. The frame has the ability to mount mudguards, racks and kickstands. The techno forming system helped process the tubes and mould them in a neat way and make them strong. The SR Suntour suspension NEX comes with a smooth 63mm travel. The suspension lockout was easy to use and useful to make the fork rigid for added on urban roads.

The CROSSWAY 1V has a mid-level drivetrain setup, with shimano tourney in the front and shimano Altus in the rear. These derailleurs were smooth in transmission during the test ride and we did not experience any lags. The quick shifts are buttery and helped in accelerating with ease. The shimano rapidfire 3x7 shifters were quick and easy to use.

The CROSSWAY 1 V has two colour options, Steel Blue and Silk Dark Silver. The welding on the edges of the frame looked simple and neat. The frame has internal cable sections. We feel this design will appeal to a wide range of customers.

Merida CROSSWAY 1-V comes with powerful and easy to service V-brakes, The Promax V-brakes on the Crossway 1V were basic but performed well. During the test ride these brakes were tested with jamming the brakes and also interval braking and they felt safe and balanced. The Merida CC handlebar was 66mm in length and had an adjustable stem to change the angle.

The Crossway Sport saddle was perfect in shape and also had lined patches on the wide part of the saddle to keep it non-slippery. CROSSWAY 1v comes with 7x4c, which can be upgraded upto 5c. These tires were well treaded and at the same time the wheel set was lightweight thanks to its double walled rims. Even on slightly rough non-tar surfaces these tires rolled over without much difficulty.
