The Avanti Giro FM1-Men is built on an ADT 661 Formtech Alloy Hybrid frame which is strong and yet lightweight. During the test ride the frame was able to handle the minor bumps and potholes on urban roads without transferring too much vibration to rider from the surface. The frame geometry is an ideal mix of comfort and aggressiveness with a slight lean in required to reach the handlebar from the saddle. This helped in riding at a desired cadence without stressing out the body too much. This hybrid bicycle is also equipped with chromoly bladed rigid fork.

The Avanti Giro FM1-Men comes in 3 frame sizes; Small, Medium and Large
This Hybrid Bicycle comes with microShift's Acolyte 8-Speed rear derailleur and no front derailleur. Aimed primarily at beginner level Hybrid and MTBs, the Acolyte's obvious attraction is its simplicity and reliability in terms of performance. The microShift Acolyte features a clutch mechanism. They call it the Spring Lock chain retention system and it ensures the chain is under sufficient tension even as the Bicycle gets bounced around over rough terrain. The main purpose of that is to reduce the chances of the chain coming off. The clutch can be switched on and off with a turn of the engagement bolt on the derailleur. The microShift Acolyte 8-Speed shifter features a display that shows the rider which gear they are in.

The Avanti Giro FM1-Men which I test rode came with Red as its primary colour on its frame with Dark Grey and White as the secondary colours. The graphics for the logo and text were minimal which made the design pattern simple yet elegant. The thin tubes made the Bicycle looks sleek and elegant. The matte finish paint job quality definitely enhanced the overall aesthetics of this Bicycle.

The Avanti Giro FM1-Men comes in just 1 colour variant, Red with Dark Grey and White graphics
Tektro's Airies Mechanical Disc brakes handle the braking performance on the Avanti Giro FM-1 Men's Hybrid Bicycle. These brakes were powerful and balanced on urban roads and felt safe to use even at top speeds and turns. Tektro's brakes are trust worthy and are long lasting as well. The Alloy handlebar was wide enough for a comfortable riding posture, there is a slight raise from the middle to keep the rider a little upright while riding.
