Avitri Evoke EV77 700c Shimano Acera - Review

The Avitri Evoke EV77 Shimano Acera is built on a full Alloy frame. This frame is well designed, sturdy and lightweight. The ergonomics on the Evoke EV77 is the perfect combination of comfort and aggressiveness for a Hybrid. You will find yourself forward bent to an extent, which ensures that you are in an ideal position for balanced riding. The frame has a combination of circular, tapered and flat tube profiles across the frame sections. This results in optimizing strength at the key joints, while minimizing weight where larger tubing is not required.The stock front suspension fork comes with sufficient travel which is ideal to tackle bumps and speed breakers. The suspension lock-out feature is easy to operate and makes the suspension fork rigid and thus making the ride faster on flat surfaces.

The 27-Speed drivetrain on the Evoke EV77 is a combination of a 3-Speed Shimano Altus in the front derailleur, and a 9-Speed Shimano Acera as the rear derailleur. Shifting was good across gears, with hardly any lags felt during the test ride. This gear combination is ideal and expected at this price point. The drivetrain is controlled by Shimano Altus shifters, which were positioned well and easy to use.

The Avitri Evoke EV77 Shimano Acera is a good-looking Hybrid. The frame design and eye catchy tube profiles, along with smooth welds, translates to the Evoke EV77 being an aesthetic Hybrid Cycle. The Bicycle which we test rode came in a full Grey primary colour with Red and White as the secondary colours. The gloss finish paint job was top notch in quality.

The Avitri Evoke EV77 Shimano Acera comes with Duoder branded Mechanical Disc brakes. These brakes were solid in stopping power and felt balanced to use even when jamming them. The levers were also lengthy and had an easy spring action which made it possible to operate using just 2 or 3 fingers.The Alloy handlebar with a mild raise was perfect in length for a comfortable riding posture. The adjustable quill stem is a useful feature which enables the rider to change the angle of the handlebar to an aggressive or comfortable position.

The Avitri Evoke EV77 Shimano Acera rolls on a pair of 7x38c Kenda tires that are fixed on to Double walled Alloy rims. The treading and size of the tires were ideal for city commuting and long rides. The rolling resistance was fast and the 38C width provided enough traction on wet roads as well.The stock Avitri Saddle seems to have got a major upgrade with its performance focused centre slit design, making it ergonomic in design.
