Cosmic Grid FS - Review

The Cosmic Grid FS is built on a strong yet lightweight Steel frame. This frame has thin tubes with neatly welded edges. The conventional geometry was comfortable to ride with a slanting top tube. The frame was responsive and definitely helped ride fast and contributed to easy climbing on flyovers and other road inclines.The front suspension fork was minimal with sufficient in travel to tackle the bumps and speed breakers on urban roads.

The Cosmic Grid FS comes equipped with a Single-Speed drivetrain. The pedalling was easy on flat and rough surfaces. It is a bit of a struggle to pedal on inclines which will require extra effort. The positives of a Single-Speed drivetrain is that it is easy to maintain and simple to ride.

The Grid FS which we test rode came in a full Black colour frame with Blue and Red as the secondary colours for the text and graphics. The matte finish paint job along with the contrasting Blue and Red colours made the Bicycle stand out. The thin tubes, colour coded saddle and brake cables immensely enhanced the aesthetics of this Bicycle.

This Hybrid Bicycle's stopping power is handled by a pair of standard V-brakes at the front and rear. These brakes were sufficient and balanced on both dry and wet roads. Both interval braking and jamming of brakes felt in control when used during the test ride.The handlebar on this Bicycle was both comfortable and wide enough to give the rider an open chested riding posture.

The Cosmic Grid FS rolls on a pair of 7x35C Brilliant branded slick tires. These tires were fast rolling on urban roads and the tread pattern was enough to get good traction on tar surfaces.The stock Cosmic Saddle was wide and had a lot of cushioning to make the rider is comfortable and soreness free on bumpy rides.
