Liv Rove 3 DD (2016) Review

Liv, the new women's cycling brand from Giant. Initially starting out as Liv/Giant, this brand has taken over completely as Liv, a women-specific brand. The aim being by women, for women. To emphasize this, their bicycles are designed by women. We got an opportunity to review the Liv Rove 3 DD, from their 2016 range of cycles. Here is what we thought.

Great design, great performance and good value for money. A fantastic bicycle for women, from Liv

Snapshot

The Rove 3 DD uses the in-house Giant ALUXX-grade aluminum, making it's frame lightweight yet sturdy. Designed using Liv's 3F philosophy which places emphasis on fit, form and function, this bicycle is ergonomically suited for women riders. The geometry of the frame ensures a comfortable riding form, and the downward sloping top-tube makes it stress-free to mount and dismount the bicycle. The SR Suntour NEX front suspension fork is alright, but not the best mostly owing to it's 63mm travel. However, it works well on moderately bumpy trails and roads. When tested on a beaten-up trail, the suspension proved worthy.

Lightweight yet sturdy Frame
