For a size M, the geometry includes a 69° head tube angle, a 73° seat tube angle, 402mm of reach, and 430mm chain stays. This fit is particularly praised for offering a comfortable seating position.

The bike features an entry-level Shimano Tourney 3x7 (21-speed) drivetrain with Shimano ST-EF41 shifters. This system is deemed the most basic and is sufficient for commuting and short, flat trail rides. While it offers a versatile gear range for varied terrain, reviewers note that the low-quality components mean the shifting quality is just about functional and may require occasional tuning. Performance on uphill climbs is not its strongest suit.

Comfort is a highlight of the Cascade 2, thanks to its modern, upright geometry which places the rider in a relaxed position, ideal for leisure and longer excursions. The SR Suntour XCE 100mm travel fork provides effective cushioning for bumps encountered on rough urban roads and fire roads.
