Toutche Heileo H200 12.8AH - Review

The Toutche Heileo H2 12.8AH is a Rigid Hybrid which is built on an Aluminium Alloy frame. This frame is sleek yet strong enough to handle rough surfaces at high speeds. The strength seems to come mainly from the chunky bottom tube, which can absorb vibrations of the surface. The straight top tube does make the riding posture forward focused and a bit aggressive as well. The frame build has definitely improved from its previous version, with seamless and smooth welds. The fork is rigid on this E-Hybrid and is made of Alloy and was sleek and bladed in shape.

This Electric Hybrid Bicycle is equipped with a simple 1x8-Speed Shimano Altus drivetrain. This means there is no front derailleur and the rear has an 8-Speed Shimano Altus M31 derailleur. Gears generally help in increasing or decreasing the pressure in pedalling. This 8-Speed Shimano Altus gears helps in 2 things; for exercise purposes and also to pedal easily if in case the battery power runs out during a ride. The Shimano shifters were sleek and were easy to shift with clear gear indicators.

The Heileo H2 12.8AH which we test rode came in a full Black frame with Red and White as the secondary colours for graphics and text. The matte finish paint job was smooth and premium in quality. The shape of the battery and the bottom tube ensure they blend in as 1 piece in an aesthetic manner. The LCD console was bright and edgy in design. The front LED light is powered by the main battery and is bright enough to give sufficient visibility during night commutes on urban roads.

The H2's stopping power is handled by a pair of Repute Mechanical Disc brakes at the front and rear. These brakes worked efficiently when stopping at 25km/hr and also felt safe to use on wet roads and fast corners.The Alloy handlebar on this E-Bicycle was of ideal length which enabled an open chested riding posture and also easy manoeuvring in traffic. The grips are cushioned for added comfort.

The Heileo H2 12.8AH rolls on a pair of Kenda Kourier 7x38C Hybrid tires. These tires are slick, sufficiently treaded and fast rolling for easy acceleration and fast riding in the city. These rims are double-walled and are strong enough to handle rough roads.The stock saddle from Toutche was aesthetically designed for long and soreness free rides.
