Veloce V200 - Review

Veloce started its journey back in 2014 to provide affordable premium bikes for cycling enthusiasts, while maintaining all European ISO standards. Veloce have a wide range of MTB, Hybrid Bicycles with quality specs at a reasonable price point. From their MTB range we got to test ride the Veloce V2 and here is what we thought. Weight – 15.6kgs Category – Fitness/Trails

The Veloce V2 is a Hardtail Mountain Bike which is built for Trail Riding and Rough Urban Roads.

The Veloce V2 comes with an Alloy Hardtail frame. The Alloy frame has a conventional frame geometry which was comfortable to ride. The Frame does not transfer the vibrations from the surface to the rider making it easier to ride longer on trails. The Suntour XCM Suspension Fork comes with a massive 12mm travel. The Suntour suspension was smooth in working during the test ride and helped tackle bad roads and flat trails with ease.

The V2 comes with a Shimano Tourney 3-Speed front derailleur and a Shimano Acera 8-Speed rear derailleur which are connected to Shimano Altus shifters. The 24-Speed gear system was crisp in shifting with no evident lag. The Shimano Altus shifters were easy to use and placed comfortably on the handlebar.

The Veloce V2 comes in a dual shade of Black and Grey. The Gloss finish was top notch in quality. The Black and Grey colour scheme gave this MTB a very aggressive look and the colour coordinated suspension and saddle was a nice touch.

The Gloss Finish Pain Job enhanced the aesthetics of this Mountain Bike

This MTB from Veloce comes with a pair of responsive and powerful Tektro Mechanical Disc Brakes. The Brakes performed well in both wet and dry surfaces making them ideal for Off-roading. The Tektro Brake Levers required only two to three fingers to engage. The Handlebar is 7mm in width with a slight raise in the centre. The width ensures optimal control when out on the trail but can be a little difficult to use when riding in urban conditions.

The Veloce V2 rolls on a pair of 27.5” x 2.1” tires which are attached to strong double wall alloy rims. The tires were heavily treaded to generate a lot of traction on rough surfaces. The 27.5” circumference made it easy to ride fast over rough trails and potholes on urban roads. The stock saddle was ergonomic in design and provided ample cushioning for trail riding, however we would have liked this saddle even more if it was a little wider.

The V2 Hardtail MTB from Veloce is built on a strong Alloy Frame which gives the rider a comfortable open-chested posture. The Suntour XCM front suspension fork absorbs vibrations from the surface, the Mechanical Disc brakes were powerful and quick and the Shimano Tourney/Acera 24-Speed gear system were crisp and easy to shift. Priced at Rs.3,99(as on 13th December 221), the Veloce V2 is an ideal choice for anyone looking to buy a Bicycle for trail rides and rough urban roads.Prices and Specifications/Components are subject to change by the brand, without due notice.
