Snapshot

The Avitri Ignite 29 is built around a Hardtail Hi-Ten Steel frame. While Steel is known to be heavy, this Bicycle had a good distribution of weight which was evident when riding on both flats and inclines. The geometry was standard and comfort focused with a slanting top tube.We can say this Bicycle is more of an Urban focused and not a complete trail friendly Mountain Bike by the functioning of the suspensions fork. The suspension on this Bicycle has a minimal working travel which is just sufficient for bumps, potholes and unpaved surfaces.

The Avitri Ignite 29 comes equipped with Shimano Tourney at the front and rear as derailleurs. These are entry-level gearing components in Shimano's MTB hierarchy and they performed to their limits during the test ride. On rough urban roads and flat trails, these derailleurs were ideal for quick and short gear changes. The 21-Speed Shimano trigger shifters were easy to use and in easy reach from the handlebar grip.

The Shimano Tourney 21-Speed gears were swift and smooth in shifting

The Avitri Ignite 29 which we test rode came with Black as the primary colour and Yellow as the secondary colour for the graphics and text. The colour coded Saddle and the bottom of bottom tube text decals is definitely eye catching. The matte finish paint job was top notch in quality. The heavily treaded tires and slanting top tube gives it the rugged MTB look.

This MTB's stopping power is handled by a pair of Trioblade Mechanical Disc brakes at the front and rear. These brakes were powerful, safe and balanced on rough and smooth roads. Both interval and jamming of brakes felt in control when used during the test ride. The riser handlebar on this Bicycle was both comfortable and wide enough to give the rider an open chested riding posture.

The Hartex Xtraction 29” x 2.4” MTB tires on the Avitri Ignite 29 was heavily treaded to generate a lot of traction on rough surfaces. While the 29” circumference handles the efficient riding over rough surfaces, the 2.4” width makes sure the Bicycle is stable and balanced on wet and muddy surfaces. The stock saddle had enough cushioning to keep the rider comfortable on bumpy rides.

This is an entry-level MTB with aesthetic matte finish colour and design. The 29” x 2.4” tires and Mechanical Disc brakes make sure the Bicycle can handle fast rides on rough surfaces with ease. While the Bicycle comes in a standard frame size, the riding posture was comfortable. Priced at Rs.15,999(as on 27th June 223) the Avitri Ignite 29 is an ideal choice for anyone looking to buy a Bicycle for leisure rides on rough roads and flat trails.Prices and Specifications/Components are subject to change by the brand, without due notice.
