Snapshot

The Avitri Mamba is built on a strong Steel frame. This frame had thin tubes with neatly welded edges. The conventional geometry was comfortable to ride with a straight top tube. The frame was responsive and definitely helped ride fast and contributed to easy climbing on flyovers and other road inclines. The rigid Steel fork was bladed in shape which made it light at the front.

The Avitri Mamba is equipped with Shimano's Tourney at the front and rear as derailleurs. These is an entry-level groupset from Shimano and the gears shifted smoothly during the test ride with no evident lags. The Shimano 21-Speed trigger shifters were easy to use. The crank arms were slightly longer than required, thus making the gap between the road and the pedal very minimal when the pedals are in a 6 o’clock position.

The Avitri Mamba which we test rode came in a Gun Metal coloured frame with Neon Yellow and Black as the secondary colours for the text and graphics. The gloss finish paint job along with the contrasting colour combination made the Bicycle stand out on the road. The thin tubes and colour coded saddle enhanced the aesthetics of this Bicycle.

This Hybrid Bicycle's stopping power is handled by a pair of Trioblade branded Mechanical Disc brakes at the front and rear. These brakes were powerful, safe and balanced on dry and wet roads. Both interval braking and jamming of brakes felt in control when used during the test ride. The Steel raiser handlebar on this Bicycle was both comfortable and wide enough to give the rider an open chested riding posture. The bar ends on the handlebar are stylish and adds another alternate handlebar position to hold on to.
