The Element Cyber Y8 is built on a full Alloy frame. This frame geometry is inspired from race specific MTBs with a slanting top tube and a taller build, giving the Bicycle more ground clearance. The thin seat and chain stays are strong enough to withstand the vibration from the surface and thus making the ride more comfortable. As a Hardtail MTB, this one comes with a stock front suspension fork with a working travel of 8-9mm and a suspension lock-out which helps make the ride faster on flatter roads.

Strong Alloy frame with a high ground clearance .
The Element Cyber Y8 comes with a Shimano Tourney 3-Speed at the front and 8-Speed at the rear as derailleurs. Even though Tourney is an entry-level gearing component the shifting was smooth and I did not feel any lag. The 24-Speed gear combination was sufficient for riding on roads, rough trails and gradual climbs.

Shimano Tourney 24-Speed derailleurs provided smooth gear shifts
The Element Cyber Y8 which we test rode came in a full Black colour frame with subtle and minimal graphics and text. The gloss finish paint job was of the highest quality and looked shiny. The colour coded rims and saddle made the Bicycle aesthetic in appearance.

Braking on the Element Cyber Y8 is taken care of by Logan Hydraulic Disc brakes at both the front and rear. These brakes felt balanced and powerful, especially when you are riding in wet weather and need reliable braking performance when stopping during fast paced trail rides. The Alloy flat handlebar was wide enough for a comfortable riding posture as well as for optimum control for sharp turns on trails.
