The EMotorad T-Rex Air 29 is designed for riders who want one e-cycle that can handle urban commutes and occasional adventure. With its larger 29-inch wheels, front suspension, durable steel frame, and robust battery/motor setup, it offers more versatility than simple city e-bikes.
The 29-inch wheel variant especially suits taller riders or those who want smoother navigation over rough patches.
The high-tensile steel frame gives the T-Rex Air 29 a sturdy backbone. The 29-inch wheelset adds to ride stability and helps roll over cracks, potholes and mild trail irregularities more easily than smaller wheels.
The steel frame does mean a bit more weight compared to aluminium but contributes to rugged feel. Fit and finish are adequate. One user noted the frame size felt somewhat large for their height despite the large wheels.

The wheels are 29 inchers … and the cycle is equipped with a 100mm travel fork.
The 7-speed Shimano TY300 (or equivalent) gives solid gear options for everyday use. Paired with the 250 W hub-motor (rear) and pedal assist, the performance is more than adequate for commuting, slight inclines, and casual off-road.
Overall, if you ride primarily urban with occasional rough patch, the drivetrain works well. Serious trail-riding or steep downhill might push its limits.

On pedal assist, the T-Rex … you will have no trouble keeping up with any car or bike in the city.
The 100mm front fork suspension paired with 29-inch wheels gives a ride that balances comfort and efficiency. On smoother tarmac you’ll feel efficient; on rougher roads you’ll appreciate the buffer.
“Suspension is ok, but not great … it does give you elbow pain after some time.”
Also, the battery weight comes into play when the motor isn’t assisting. Pedalling bare—without motor—feels heavier than a non-e-bike.

Mechanical disc brakes front and rear with auto cut-off enhance safety and control. They work well in normal dry conditions and typical mixed use. Users say braking is dependable up to 25 km/h—which is the motor-assisted top speed.
In heavier/muddy/wet conditions, mechanical discs require more care than hydraulic systems. But given price-point and usage mode, this is an acceptable trade.

Wheels: double-wall alloy rims (in some specs “double-wall aluminium alloy rims”) give strength and durability.
Tyres: 29″ (for the variant) deliver a good blend of speed and grip. Weight: ~22.4 kg — relatively moderate for an e-cycle with motor & battery. Load capacity ~110 kg.
