Felt’s AR Advanced Ultegra is a high-end aero road bike aimed squarely at riders wanting speed, precision and clean race-geometry, without stepping all the way into “supreme race-only” price territory. “Designed to cheat the wind and for hardcore riding” is how Felt puts it.
Its core appeals are: a full carbon aero frame + fork, Shimano’s 12-speed Ultegra Di2 wireless shifting, aero wheelset, and a sleek cockpit. It promises aero efficiency, crisp shifting, and race-inspired performance. In India through ChooseMyBicycle, it comes with a premium pricing that reflects those specs. Before you commit, it helps to understand where it shines and where it demands compromise
The frame is Felt’s AR 3.0, built with UHC Advanced + TeXtreme carbon, and the fork uses UHC Ultimate + TeXtreme. This gives stiffness where it matters, and aero shaping aimed at reducing drag, especially at yaw angles typical of road racing. “While it carries a few extra grams than some of the competition, its stiffness means it still accelerates better than most.”
Fit comes in multiple sizes (48-61cm) so riders from about ~5’0” to over 6’5” can find a suitable frame. The cockpit (Devox DBar.C0 Aero, separate handlebar + stem) offers adjustment, helping tailor reach and drop to your body. Felt also gives a max permissible rider + gear weight of ~129 kg.
Design details are clean: internal cable routing, aero surfaces, integrated feel in the front end. It has more aggressive geometry — long reach, steep head/seat angles — meaning you’re getting a race-ready posture.

A dynamic bike willing to go the distance … whether that’s driving the breakaway or positioning yourself for the final sprint.
The Ultegra Di2 12-speed electronic groupset is top class just below Dura-Ace: fast, precise shifts, good reliability, and solid chain retention. Felt pairs it with a cassette of 11-30T and a crank of 52/36T (standard race ratios).
Performance on the road is impressive: strong, punchy acceleration; very responsive when you sit down and push; stable at speed thanks to the aerodynamic frame and Reynolds AR58 DB custom wheels. “The new AR feels taut, responsive and exciting out on the road.” On flat or rolling terrain it eats up kilometers; climbing is possible though you’ll notice the weight penalty vs lighter climbers. It weighs approximately 8.3 kg in many test units.

Given its aero focus, one expects a less forgiving ride; Felt has balanced this with the frame material + fork layup, somewhat compliant seatpost (AeroRoad IL 2.0), and properly chosen tires (Continental Grand Prix SL, 700×25c).
Comfort on smoother roads is very good; vibrations from coarse roads are dampened reasonably, though not eliminated. Long rides require well-fitted saddle, good bar tape, possibly narrower handlebars depending on shoulder width. The aggressive geometry plus aero posture means that back, neck, and wrists will be more taxed than on endurance bikes. But that's part of the package: speed over plush comfort.

Braking is handled by Shimano Ultegra Di2 hydraulic disc brakes (BR-R8170 with centre-lock rotors, 160mm front / 140mm rear typically). These are powerful, with good modulation; confidence inspiring even in wet conditions. The disc setup, thru-axles, stiff fork and frame all contribute to precise braking. “Improved ergonomics and a wireless cockpit improve on Shimano’s already impressive groupset in this latest generation.”
Steering is sharp at speed; the head tube is low and stiff so transitions and cornering are precise. At lower speeds (e.g. tight city corners or steep switchbacks), the aero shape and long reach may mean a little slower responsiveness, or more effort is needed to maneuver. Overall, for road racing or spirited group rides, you’ll feel in control.

Wheels are the Reynolds AR58 DB custom set, tubeless-ready, centre-lock; aero profile helps reduce drag and boost rolling speed. Paired with Continental Grand Prix SL tires (25mm), the setup provides a blend of aerodynamic efficiency and decent comfort. The saddle is Prologo Dimension 143 T4.0, which is fairly standard among high-end race bikes: relatively lightweight, moderate padding, suitable for riders who prefer a race posture (less upright). If you’re doing very long endurance rides or have specific saddle preferences, you might invest in swapping to your own preferred saddle. “Reynolds AR58 DB Custom wheels with Continental Grand Prix SL tires offer a wind-cheating aero profile and great ride feel to keep performance front and center.”

The Felt AR Advanced Ultegra Di2 is a standout aero road bike for riders who want race-level performance, top-tier shifting, and sharp, aero-optimised efficiency. It suits riders who spend a lot of time pushing speed, doing group rides, crits, or chasing breakaways. If your roads are rough or your riding style more relaxed/long-distance, you might feel its harsher side more.
