Ralleyz Metropolis - Onyx Black - Review

The Ralleyz Metropolis is a City Bicycle which is built around a Hi-Ten Steel TIG Welded Frame. This Bicycle has a comfort based frame geometry which makes it easy to ride. The Hi-Ten TIG Welded Steel used is lightweight but at the same time strong enough to handle rough surfaces.The Metropolis has a lightweight rigid fork made from Steel which has an aero profile. The bladed shape made the bicycle light at the front.

The Metropolis is a simple Single-Speed Bicycle. This Bicycle is ideal for short commutes and leisure rides around town. A Single-Speed Bicycle is easy to maintain and the large Crank made it easier to pedal. Although, one would require that extra effort in pedalling when riding in elevated areas in the city like on flyovers.

The Metropolis is a stylish looking City Bicycle, the Bicycle which I test rode came with a Black primary colour with Gold graphics. The gloss finish paint job was shiny and gave an overall premium outlook to the Bicycle. The full Black fork and Black saddle made the Bicycle stand out.

This City Bicycle from Ralleyz comes with responsive and powerful V-Brakes at the front and rear. Feathered braking felt comfortable and stable, requiring just a light press of the brake levers to activate. The braking mechanism was ideal for city use.The handlebar has a slight rise from the centre and is wide enough to give the rider an upright and open-chested riding posture which is ideal for commuting. One downside which I felt was that the grips were a little hard and didn’t have enough cushioning.

The Metropolis comes with a pair of 26” x 2.1” Hartex tires which are attached to Alloy rims. The tires are well treaded and offer good grip in both wet and dry surfaces. Extra width on the tires might have helped with better rolling comfort on rougher urban roads.The Metropolis has a premium padded Saddle which is ergonomic as well. The Saddle has a stylish design printed on it which improves the overall aesthetic appeal of this Bicycle. The seat post has a QR which enables you to change the seat height quickly and easily.
