Polygon Cascade 4 27.5 - Text review

At the heart of the Cascade 4 is an AL6 alloy hardtail frame. It features modern XC/fitness geometry with a slightly upright riding posture for comfort on trails and city roads. The frame supports 27.5” wheels and comes with mounts suitable for water bottles or light accessories.

The geometry makes it beginner-friendly while maintaining enough stiffness for control on uneven surfaces. The frame allows for a 100mm travel suspension fork, which smooths bumps and improves ride quality.

The Cascade 4 typically comes with a Shimano 3×8 drivetrain, offering 24 speeds via a triple crankset and 8-speed cassette. Shifting is smooth and reliable for casual riders and light trail use.

The bike is capable of handling mixed terrain with adequate climbing gears and flat-road options. While not a high-end racing groupset, the drivetrain provides solid performance for beginners or weekend riders.

Riding comfort is enhanced by the SR Suntour XCE28 suspension fork (100mm travel) and 27.5” tires (~2.1” width). This combination absorbs small bumps and trail irregularities without sacrificing stability.
