Polygon Xtrada 5 27.5 (2023) - Text Review

The Polygon Xtrada 5 27.5 (2023) is positioned as an entry‐to‐mid level cross-country (XC) hardtail mountain bike, designed for riders who want a capable bike for single track, trail adventures and mixed terrain without breaking the bank.
“Riding with Xtrada, feels like running as a wolf” — a tagline that highlights the bike’s intention to deliver agility and endurance.
Translating to Indian prices via ChooseMyBicycle.com (considering import/stock costs) will likely push it higher — I’ll cover estimated Indian pricing in the verdict section.

Frame Material & Geometry: The frame is ALX XC Trail alloy, built with modern XC geometry. Features include short chainstays, a fairly slack head tube angle (≈ 67°), and steepish seat tube angle (≈ 75°).
Fit / Sizes: It comes in both 27.5″ and 29″ wheel sizes, with multiple frame sizes covering riders from about 155 cm up to ~195 cm.
Design: The frame uses a tapered head tube (for stiffer steering / better handling), a nicely shaped top tube / seat tube layout for clearance, and the aesthetic is clean and modern. The wheel fit size system (27.5”/29”) aids matching rider height.

The Xtrada 5 uses a 10-speed Shimano drivetrain. The shifter, cassette, and rear derailleur are all Shimano 10-speed.
Crankset is a Prowheel 32T, with Shimano 2-piece crankset bottom bracket (BSA threaded, 73 mm).

The 10-speed setup gives you a useful gear range; climbing steep trails with the smaller sprockets, while still able to spin on flats.
The 32T front chainring is typical of hardtails in this segment and strikes a balance between torque and cadence.

Fork / Suspension: Equipped with an SR Suntour XCM-HLO fork with 120 mm of travel on both 27.5” and 29” versions.
Seatpost / Saddle: Alloy seatpost, 27.2 × 350 mm, 15 mm offset. Saddle is a Polygon branded steel rail model.

Accompanied with suspension fork to smooth out the ride on rough terrains.

Steering: The bike uses a tapered head tube with sealed bearings (zero-stack headset), which tends to improve stiffness and handling precision. Alloy stem and bar (760 mm width) give leverage for control.
Brakes: Hydraulic disc brakes with 160 mm rotors both front and rear.

Wheels & Tires: Alloy double-wall rims; tires are “Performance Tire” 2.25″ in both wheel sizes (27.5″ & 29″). Rim internal width ~23mm, height 19mm; 32h (spoke count) rims.
Saddle: The saddle is basic, with steel rails.

Overall, the Polygon Xtrada 5 27.5 / 29 is one of the better value offerings for someone wanting a real XC mountain experience without going into high-end componentry. It combines solid frame geometry, capable fork, reliable drivetrain, and good brakes for the segment.
